Every lesson, always

These lessons are designed for adults who are serious about learning.

You want a clear path, not hours of YouTube videos with no structure or progression.

You have a busy life — work, family, commitments — and need lessons that fit around it.

You always wanted to play but never got started — or started and stopped, and want to try again properly.

You want measurable progress — specific goals, weekly plans, and a sense of where you're going.

Your first 12 weeks on the piano

Every student begins with a personalised 12-week plan based on their experience and musical interests. You'll always know what to practise and why.

Weeks 1–4
Foundations
  • Correct posture & hand position
  • Understanding the keyboard
  • Reading simple notation
  • Your first short piece
Weeks 5–8
Technique & songs
  • Finger coordination
  • Hand independence
  • Simple scales & exercises
  • Playing a full piece, both hands
Weeks 9–12
Musical confidence
  • Dynamics & expression
  • Independent practice structure
  • 1–2 complete performance pieces
  • Clear plan for what comes next

"By the end of 12 weeks, you'll be able to play two complete pieces with both hands, read basic sheet music, maintain steady rhythm — and practise confidently on your own."

— Gauri, Pianoroom founder & instructor

"I recommend Gauri so strongly to anyone looking to pick up piano. She makes something that felt impossible feel completely achievable."

Meet Gauri

Pianoroom was built around a simple belief: the challenge for most adult learners isn't talent — it's having the right structure and guidance around them.

After completing her diploma at KM Music Conservatory (A.R. Rahman's conservatory) and earning a BMus from the University of Huddersfield, Gauri has spent years teaching adults from all professional backgrounds to play piano — properly, and enjoyably.

Common questions

Am I too old to start learning piano?
Not at all. Students at Pianoroom range from 30 to 75. Adults often progress faster than children because they bring focus, patience, and real motivation to the process.
What if I've never played piano before?
Lessons are designed to meet you exactly where you are — complete beginner or someone returning after many years. The 12-week plan adapts to your starting point.
I have a very busy schedule. Can I still make progress?
Yes. Many Pianoroom students balance demanding careers with their lessons. Even 20–30 minutes of focused practice a few times a week leads to real, consistent progress.
What happens in the trial lesson?
It's a relaxed introductory session — no pressure, no assessment. You'll discuss your goals, try a few simple exercises, and get a clear sense of how the programme works. Completely free, no commitment.
How much do lessons cost after the trial?
Weekly one-to-one lessons are available from $199 per month. The trial lesson is completely free with no obligation to continue.
Do I need a piano at home?
Yes — you'll need an instrument to practise on. Even a simple keyboard is enough to get started. Gauri can advise on the right option for your space and budget.

Your first lesson is
